30/03/1943 While taxing past control tower, aircraft swerved in towards three Battles posted close to facing the tarmac on the eastern side of the signal square. The starboard wingtip of the aircraft came into contact with the fin and rudder of one of the other Battles taxiing tearing the members completely off and doing damage to several feet of the starboard wing of Battle V1201. Aircraft Unserviceable. Airframe repairable at unit.

V1216 TT1 Some sources quote this aircraft as having served with the RAAF but no record card has been found for this aircraft and the engine cards have been perused with mention of any RAAF engine being fitted to this aircraft.
Air-Britain notes this aircraft as serving with RAF from 18/08/1940 allocated to 48 MU, 4 Bombing & Gunnery School, 4 Air Observers School, LEP and then transferred to the SAAF on 02/03/1942.

1943 Engine failed after take off. Damage to aircraft not stated in signal.
2 miles west of Mascot aerodrome.
Aircraft functioned normally prior to and during take off. Engine ran smoothly and gave full power and revs on run up. On reaching height of approx 300 feet, engine lost all power and failed to respond to throttle movements although petrol pressure was noted to be normal. Pilot switched off, turned off petrol and carried out a forced landing with both wheels retracted in only clear space available.
